Piacenza, October 10th, 2026 – A highly positive outcome for the 2026 edition of Geofluid, which closes its doors after four consecutive days at Piacenza Expo with numbers never reached be-fore. Professional visitors reached 17,000 (+14% compared to the previous edition), coming from 110 different countries, with international attendance at 28%.
These extremely telling figures confirm Piacenza Expo’s trade fair as the most important and quali-fied international event dedicated to equipment and technologies for the research, extraction, and transport of underground fluids, as well as the drilling, underground works, geotechnics, and geo-thermal sectors.
“These figures,” said Piacenza Expo President Davide Villa, “confirm the sentiment I perceived among the many exhibitors I spoke with over these four days. Geofluid is not only an event capa-ble of generating significant economic benefits for our area, but also a fair that offers its many ex-hibitors concrete opportunities to do business and develop commercial relationships at an interna-tional level. A further positive element is the high level of appreciation expressed by the entrepre-neurs present for Piacenza Expo’s excellent organization, a mark of esteem that confirms the high professionalism of our operating structure, which I thank for the commitment and work devoted to this record-breaking edition of Geofluid.”
The analysis of pre-registered visitors, cross-referenced with the presence of companies in the sector, shows that the predominant segment of this edition was drilling, foundations, and ground consolidation (around 48% of total registrations). Consulting and engineering firms, geology, and geophysics also grew, confirming that professional development and the chance to meet produc-ers of new technologies are a strong motivation for these professionals to visit.
“The success and extraordinary outcome of Geofluid,” added Piacenza Expo Director Sergio Copelli, “are the result of intense teamwork that allowed us to deliver a record-breaking edition. In the halls and aisles of the fair, there was an overwhelming energy and a strong desire to connect in a fully international setting. Heartfelt thanks go to the members of the Technical Committee who, over the past year, worked with Piacenza Expo to define a top-level program of conferences and workshops. Thanks also to the industry associations, always active and engaged. We also wish to thank Piacenza Expo’s suppliers, collaborators, and partners who, with great professionalism and dedication, ensured the best welcome and an optimal experience for both exhibitors and visitors. The significant growth in attendance and the expansion of the exhibition area fully reflect the effort made by the Piacenza Expo staff. The results achieved reward the constant commitment of recent years in managing communication, business development, and relationships with companies, to which we have provided answers to their different technical and logistical needs. This success be-longs to all of us.”
The next edition of Geofluid, already scheduled, will take place from October 11 to 14, 2028.
