Work in progress for Via Emilia Classic

Piacenza, May 17, 2024 – First operational meeting for Piacenza Expo‘s Technical Table for the organization of “Via Emilia Classic”, an exhibition-market dedicated to vintage two- and four-wheelers, historic motoring, sports and mototourism.

Piacenza Expo has relocated the event to September, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22, and also for this new edition it will rely on the collaboration of the main clubs and associations of historic cars and motorcycles in the Piacenza area: Piacenza Corse, Vespa Club Piacenza, Motoclub Tarquinio Provini, Club piacentino automotoveicoli d’epoca, Aci Piacenza, Fiat 500 Club Italia, Ferrari Club Piacenza, Club Veicoli Storici Piacentini, Circolo italiano camion storici and Federmoto to which other associations currently being defined should be added.

“As in previous editions,” as specified by the organizing secretariat, “there will be space for the proposals of restorers, workshops, upholsterers, coachbuilders and tuners, but ‘Via Emilia Classic’ will also be a great commercial showcase for dealers and traders, offering space at the same time for a rich marketplace where private collectors and spare parts dealers will offer a catalog of unobtainable components for the most iconic and prestigious brands of historic and sports motoring. We are defining a new exhibition format with new proposals and renewed programs, which will be enriched by a series of side events, including interactive ones, to make this exhibition event increasingly interesting and also of a high quality level.”

Among this year’s novelties is the presence of a rich section dedicated to historical and sports modeling, a large area within Hall 1 that will be animated by numerous exhibitors from all over Italy.

“We are also developing some educational sections, which will feature technicians and mechanics who will illustrate to visitors, in real time and with the help of video images, the various types of work to be done on engines, body elements and accessories. Compared to the first two editions we will increase the exhibition areas, also to meet the many requests we have already received in recent months. It will be an extensively renewed edition, not only in the graphic image, which this year offers us an original design by Giuliana Vignale of the iconic Ferrari Vignale 340 Mexico, but also in the layout, which will be specially designed to make the experience of the enthusiasts who will visit Via Emilia Classic more intense and exciting.”
