Davide Villa is the new President of Piacenza Expo for the 2026–2029 term. The election took place yesterday evening at the first Board of Directors meeting of the Le Mose’s trade fair company, during which Elisabetta Montesissa was also reconfirmed as Vice President, with Fabio Maggi serving as Delegated Board Member.
Davide Villa – entrepreneur, President of the Swiss branch of the Casella Autogru Board of Directors, chartered accountant and statutory auditor of the Board of Auditors of Confindustria Emilia Romagna, and member of the Executive Council of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria Piacenza – has been a member of the Piacenza Expo Board of Directors since 2024. Elisabetta Montesissa – a wine entrepreneur at her family’s agricultural estate and former National Director of Terranostra, the association representing Coldiretti’s agritourism farms – also served on the outgoing governing body of Piacenza Expo, holding the position of Vice President over the past two years. Fabio Maggi – chartered accountant, tax advisor and President of the Young Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts Association of Piacenza – joins the administrative body of Piacenza Expo for the first time.
Among the items on the Board’s agenda was also the allocation of corporate responsibilities among Board members, as provided for by the Piacenza Expo Statute. President Villa will oversee institutional relations, strategic direction, operational and commercial supervision, legal affairs, workplace safety, and ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the real estate assets in accordance with the capital works plan. Vice President Montesissa has been assigned responsibilities relating to human resources, communications and press office, territorial marketing, quality, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. Delegated Board Member Fabio Maggi, in turn, will be responsible for administration and financial statements, economic and resource management, budgeting and management control, access to public funding and institutional fundraising, and information systems and digital transformation.
“I would like to thank the shareholders and my fellow Board members,” said the newly elected President, “for the trust and confidence they have shown me through this appointment, which I accept with gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility. Piacenza Expo is a strategic asset of the Piacenza production system, an important institution that must engage and interact with all public bodies and economic stakeholders in order to continue delivering added value to our territory, as also highlighted in the recent study carried out by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. To this end, we look forward to an ongoing and constructive dialogue with shareholders and the wider community, so that we may continue to grow together. Knowing the expertise of my fellow Board members and of the internal operational team, distinguished by strong professionalism and an admirable sense of belonging, I believe all the conditions are in place to continue enhancing Piacenza Expo’s standing, as has been achieved in recent times. For this, it is only right to extend our sincere thanks to Giuseppe Cavalli for the passion, professionalism and dedication he has brought to this role.”
