Piacenza, 19 June 2026 – A weekend dedicated to motorsport and motor racing is on the calendar at Piacenza Expo on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June. The programme features in fact the first edition of “Auto&Trucks“, a spin-off of “Due Tempi Bei Tempi” that will bring national drift racing competitions featuring cars and trucks to the Le Mose exhibition centre, alongside exhibitions and displays of classic sports cars and vintage trucks.
The event, which will feature former motorcycle world champion Marco Melandri as guest star, was presented today at Palazzo Farnese by the Municipal Budget Councillor of Piacenza, Gianluca Ceccarelli; the President of Piacenza Expo, Davide Villa; the President of the “Due Tempi Bei Tempi” club, Franco Boscarato; the National President of Acsi Motorsport, Sauro Banetta; the President of Ferrari Club Piacenza, Andrea Capurri; and drift driver Daniele Quercioli.
“A new fair event,” commented Councillor Ceccarelli, “that once again demonstrates Piacenza Expo’s ability to draw audiences to our territory with innovative initiatives that combine sport, culture and entertainment.”
“A new appointment,” added Villa, “born from collaboration with a local association, and one that demonstrates our organisation’s capacity to bring national-scale events to the general public during a period that is usually quiet in our calendar. Piacenza Expo has a long tradition in motorsport, in a territory that represents the starting point of Emilia’s Motor Valley. Our thanks to the Municipality and to all those who worked to bring this new event to life.”
Two full days united by the common thread of motorsport: national drift competitions under the aegis of Acsi Motorsport, featuring ten trucks and over seventy sports cars, alongside static displays of both cars and trucks, with iconic models spanning both racing and road use.
“It will be a great celebration,” said Boscarato, “dedicated not only to motor enthusiasts and fans. There will be thrilling races showcasing the skill of the drivers, as well as entertainment and music, with a special guest in Marco Melandri who, in addition to performing a DJ set, will also take to the track. Visitors will also be able to experience the thrill of riding in competition vehicles thanks to a taxi drift service that will be running on both Saturday and Sunday.”
Racing, entertainment and displays in the name of motorsport, but also of road safety, a value that has always been a hallmark of all Piacenza Expo motorsport events.
“Between cars and trucks,” concluded Banetta, “almost a hundred vehicles will take to the track to compete in this round of our national championship, and there will also be foreign drivers chasing points for the European Championship. Many thanks to Piacenza Expo and to the ‘Due Tempi Bei Tempi’ association for their collaboration and flawless coordination.”
Also competing in the drift heats will be Daniele Quercioli, who for years has combined racing with initiatives aimed at students, with the specific goal of promoting a culture of safe driving among young people.
